An extravagant light trail, the Festive Forest, with light shows and lasers has been enchanting Beecraigs Country Park near Linlithgow. The festive experience will run from 4pm between December 1 and December 23, offering visitors the chance to be transported to a fairytale land deep into the woods.
The 1.8-mile walk boasts festive laser shows and exhilarating lighting effects as well as sound effects for a truly immersive experience. Beecraigs Country Park also offers sunning vistas of the Forth bridges, Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife, so the Festive Forest is not the only attraction for a wee adventure outside of the city.
Everyone is welcome at the Festive Forest – the organisers made sure adjustments can be made to anyone with additional support needs. Those attending will also be helping Maggie’s cancer support charity, Beecraigs’ charity partner, so guests can enjoy themselves with a clean conscience.
Visitors can also book the delightful Santa’s Grotto and Storytelling Experience, where little ones can meet Santa in person and listen to all his captivating stories. And there is a host of other attractions: the longest light tunnel in Scotland, Radio Forth’s Silent Disco, a Cala Homes live music stage with DJ, musicians, choirs and carol singers there to liven up the party that not even Grinch could resist. Moreover, fire performers, stilt walkers, market stalls, children’s amusements and fair rides including, Candy Cane bungee jumps. Now that’s quite the list!
A wide variety of festive food and drink will also be available in the Santa Village, including all the seasonal favourites such as hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows, mulled wine and hot cider, as well as Scottish street food from local vendors.
“This year we’ve really pulled out all the stops for a fabulous festive treat and made it bigger, brighter and bolder than ever before”, said Roy Snedden, Director of Rowen Events.
“It’s always the most magical time of the year but we want to make it a truly unforgettable experience for everyone – that’s why we are working with 21CC Group and supporting the wonderful Maggie’s who deserve a really significant gift for the tremendous work they do all year round. We’re hoping all our visitors will be as generous as they can and help us spread the real spirit of Christmas.”
