Looking to spruce the place up? Look no further than these funky and floral florists that make up part of the Glasgow shopping scene. From super vibrant greenery-infused spaces, to the stores absolutely dripping in hanging plants – these are the best plant shops in Glasgow.
Hidden away down near Queens Park you’ll find a floral-adorned shop called Aperçu, usually with an outdoor display of the shop’s greenery or one of their friendly, face-masked clad staff modelling Aperçu’s latest stock. And it’s just as pretty inside, too, thanks to the seriously creative florists that make up this plant shop. Well worth checking out, just to peep what arty displays they have against their brick walls in store. Aperçu also hosts floral pop-ups in the city in the form of installations, events, displays, styling and workshops.

Turning her passion for plants from blog to business as lockdown began, Emma (or Plant Mama) launched her online plant shop. In October 2021, Glasgow Plant Mama launched her very own permanent shop in Merchant City offering plants in all shapes and sizes, plus suitable for whatever space you have. Glasgow Plant Mama also runs masterclasses, hosts plant Q&As as well as collaborating with artists to showcase their work in her plant store.

3. Green Living
Opening up in the neighbourhood of Partick in August 2020, Green Living has a cute store beautifully decorated with their product, which also includes ranges from tall vases of flowers, to huge house plants, little decorative cacti and so much more. With their motto “Plants make people happy” brandished on the shop window, you won’t be able to miss it. There’s so much to choose from for all tastes, so if you’re in the area, we’d recommend stopping by.

Blooms is an uber-Instagrammable experience thanks to their candy pink feature wall which is tightly packed with beautiful plants and bunches of flowers. The plant shop is also situated on Dumbarton Road and customers can pick up hanging plants, tropical-looking house plants, succulents and more. Basically, it’s a jungle of house plants and we love it. Plus, they have a cute dog named Moss who you may find hidden behind some foliage.

A floral institution in Glasgow’s West End, Barvas and James has been sitting pretty on Queen Margaret Drive for some years now, with a quaint display of plants outside brightening up the area. The plant experts stock a huge selection of houseplants, from small to large, with tons of greenery and bright, colourful flowers to choose from. If you’re looking for a cute gift, they also stock smaller seasonal items (especially at Christmas!) which are perfect for desks, as well as cutely-designed plant pots and homewares.
