A new, stylish multi-room restaurant, bar and events space called Bothwell House opened its doors in an iconic location in Glasgow’s city centre on Friday, September 30. As you walk into the majestic space, you will be greeted with a giant cherry blossom tree trailing along the ceiling of the hall, and the unique décor doesn’t end there. On top of the abundance of instagrammable spots, Bothwell House visitors are able to feast their eyes on the vibrant hues of the contemporary interior, huge abstract oil paintings and aesthetically pleasing food and cocktails.
Oozing with elegance and grace, the venue compromises of a destination bar and a private dining room. The private dining room fits up to 20 guests and will be a perfect spot for those cheerful Christmas get-togethers. The restaurant menu is also inspired my Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines, with the décor reflective of the cuisine. The menu is extensive yet not too long, and the dishes have been well thought out with every dish having its own signature twist. The same is to be said about the extensive cocktail menu, as there is plenty of original creations to choose from.
Bothwell House has also just introduced a brand new Saturday brunch menu, where guests can indulge in scrumptious meals and cocktails from 12pm until 4pm. The brunches start from £35 and include up to four drinks such as prosecco or signature cocktails for those wanting to take it up a notch. The venue’s brunch offering includes a Sabich Breakfast Bowl – a classic Israeli breakfast dish with aubergine, boiled egg and mango-chilli sauce. You can also enjoy a taste of Spain with Bothwell House’s Spanish Breakfast with chorizo, black pudding, chilli beans, spiced potatoes, fried egg and toasted sourdough.
For the perfect three-course meal, start off with the whipped feta with pickled watermelon and topped with black olive crumb to get the taste buds going with a fresh twist. And for the main event, try the mushroom shawarma seitan with pickled slaw, jewelled rice and toasted flatbread. The harmonious dance of the tangy flavours is the perfect balance to the main event. To complete the experience, we’ll go for the dark chocolate and cherry mousse with white chocolate for a rich and creamy feel.
Jenny Barlow, General Manager from Bothwell House said:
