According to this Glasgow chocolate shop’s website, it began in 2005 with the founder melting chocolate in her home AGA. The Cocoabean Company, which has closed its Intu Braehead store, still offers delectable chocolate in their online store perfect to enjoy whenever. You can order personalised gift hampers in small and large sizes filled with an array of chocolatey treats, as well as hot chocolate bombs and chocolate slabs. However, their whopper of a chocolate bar is quite a showstopper! Weighing in at 5kg, it is quite incredible. The Cocoabean Company is perfect if you’re looking to send someone a little slice (or bite) of Scotland, especially with their beautiful Scottish-themed chocolate hampers featuring a chocolate Scottie dog, tablet and fudge pieces, shortbread and a chocolate bar decorated with a thistle. Plus, the factory doesn’t waste its misshaped chocolates; you can buy a lucky box of tasty yet unusually shaped chocolates for just £5.

If you’re in search of elegant chocolates this Finnieston chocolate shop could be the place to visit. The chocolates at Sugarsnap have a marvellous sheen to their shells and are decorated in interesting patterns such as geometric, or they can be made bespoke to your desires. Sugarsnap’s chocolate bars are also works of art with beautiful paint-splattered designs and intriguing flavours like lemon marshmallow, blueberry and violet, coffee and pecan with a blond ganache, plus orange and chilli. The chocolates in their artisan collection boxes are so aesthetically pleasing you may not want to eat them, however, they feature a balance of milk, dark and white chocolate ganaches, dujas and caramels increasing the temptation to devour them all. The shop is currently closed due to flooding but we hope Sugarsnap is back up and running soon.
