Bringing us a little bit of festive sparkle after what can only be described as a pretty rubbish year-and-a-bit is one of the Glasgow’s biggest beer gardens. Right by the River Clyde, Cranside Kitchen will be launching a wonderful new winter village from November 25 for Glaswegians to enjoy.

For six weeks only, the city’s biggest outdoor restaurant venue will be transformed into a winter wonderland featuring a ski gondola, winter snugs, cosy igloos and festive cocktails. Cranside Winter Village is here to save Glasgow Christmas with a cosy, warm, undercover festive experience including a bar serving mulled wine ciders, winter cocktails and boozy hot chocolates.

Visitors can chill in the ‘Hygge Lounge’, which offers a cosy, fully-enclosed space for a sheltered night out, plus the lounge will be decked out with heaters, blankets to keep you snug and fairy lights for added sparkle. To add to the festive feels, the winter village will include a giant Christmas tree to capture magical Instagrammable moments as well as winter gardens filled with festive garlands and foliage, fairy lights, mini Christmas trees and more heaters to keep the Glasgow chill away.

For somewhere more private than the ‘Hygge Lounge’, Cranside Kitchen’s Winter Village also features cosy igloos where groups can bask in a luxurious haven with comfy seating and warm rugs whilst sipping on the likes of Champagne. And if you fancy heading to the slopes, there’s a Kopparberg ski gondola that will make you envy of the winter village party revellers as you and three friends can hide away in this trendy capsule.

Throughout the festive season the stage at Cranside Winter Village will host a variety of live entertainment with our resident DJs playing disco and club classics every weekend as well as Christmas drag brunch events. Foodies can still enjoy a choice of up to seven restaurants available on the Cranside app including Romanos, Halloumi, Kilmurry & Co and XI’AN and two new festive inspired food market stalls offering hot drinks, hot dogs and hot doughnuts.
