It’s a foodie experience like no other.
Imagine it now. You step inside a restaurant that’s blanketed in darkness, before being served an incredible three-course meal – the flavours and textures of which are completely amplified by your existing senses. Sounds a lot better than that ping meal you’ve had shoved in the fridge for a good few days, right?
An experience that’s been backed by psychologists as an ‘amplified’ way to enjoy food, the enticing ‘Dining In The Dark’ event is coming to Glasgow – with eight dates taking place this summer.
The special experience promises to “elevate your meal to a whole new level”, with darkened surroundings – leaving just you, your tastebuds and your sense of smell to enjoy a three-course meal served in a top-secret restaurant that’s yet to be announced. How mysterious! Blindfolds will be provided to all guests (disposable for your safety, of course!), and will help to heighten the senses as you enjoy your meal.
Guests will be led into the darkened environment by a “guide”, who’ll be on hand to make sure you don’t bump into anything on your way in (perfect for clumsy souls like myself), before leaving you to enjoy the heightened experience.
It’s received some rave reviews, too, since kicking off back in the summer, with previous guests saying:
💬 Aishlea S. – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Fantastic and well thought experience. Really had to rely on other senses to get your way through the table and manage to carefully grab your wine without spilling. Food menu was well thought out… Waitress Georgia was fantastic. Had a great time and would recommend to all”
💬 Devon P. – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Fabulous from start to finish. Waiters were great and welcoming and then food was amazing! Definitely would recommend and can’t wait to come back!”
The sessions will take place this June, with one date in July, too. For those who want to snap tickets up quickly, you can pop on over to the booking page right here.
