1. Ayr Beach
Having won the Seaside Award for Keep Scotland Beautiful, Ayr Beach boasts stunning views of Scottish Isles making it an idyllic place to enjoy a picnic and spend the day building sandcastles – so no wonder it’s top of our list of Easter holiday road trips. 2. Glencoe National Nature Reserve
You might recognise parts of Glencoe National Nature Reserve’s dramatic mountainous landscape from films including Harry Potter, Outlaw King, Braveheart and Skyfall. Formed as a result of volcanic eruptions centuries ago, it’s a truly remarkable natural phenomenon to explore. For the real adventure seekers, climbing one of the eight Munro mountains will reward you with breathtaking views above the glen. But there are also over 37 miles of footpaths, along which you’ll find an array of wildlife in their precious, biodiverse habitats. You can even get one step closer to Glencoe’s creatures on a wildlife Land Rover safari. But however you choose to explore, be sure to delve into the fascinating mythology of Clan Macdonald along the way.

3. East Links Family Park
From Go Karts, pedal tractors, trampolines and crazy golf to sandpits, fortresses, musical mazes and farm animals galore, there is no end to the fun that can be had at East Links Family Park. With so many attractions to explore, you’re guaranteed to give the kids a day out they won’t forget – whilst getting them to blow off lots of steam in the fresh air.
