Taco lovers of Glasgow rejoice: there is a clandestine taco hunt this September. Revolucion de Cuba is giving out 1,800 free tacos and you can have some too. The only thing that needs to be done is to find the hidden taco tokens hidden around the city.
The 900 tokens are hidden all around the UK, with a fair amount lurking around Glasgow ready to be found as we speak. Hunters who happen to find the treasure will be entitled to two free tacos ready to be redeemed at the nearest Revolucion de Cuba bar until the end of October.
The UK-wide taco hunt celebrates the launch of Revolucion de Cuba’s new spec-taco-lar food menu. Therefore, taco winners can indulge in a range of mouth-watering fillings from Ginger Beer Chicken with Pineapple Salsa, Pulled Beef with Tomato Salsa and Mojo Pulled Pork with Pineapple Salsa. There is also a delectable vegan Jackfruit Chilli choice, ensuring all taco tastes are catered for.
The tokens are made from seeded paper, which means that, in the tragic case of any of them not being discovered, they will bio-degrade and grow into wildflowers. See, they’re not only giving us free tacos, but they also care about the environment!
However, the new menu does not end with tacos as the Cuban flavours are evident throughout. Guests can also opt for black bean & feta empanadas, as well as the albondigas with Cuban tomato sauce. For those with a sweet tooth, a rum affogato should wake you up, and the American-style pancakes loaded with sugar-dusted churros, strawberries, banana, sticky rum caramel and strawberry coulis only come at 515 calories. We don’t know how that’s almost the same as a salad, but we’ll take it!
So, get hunting, Glasgow, and make us proud.
