1. Visit Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre

For three decades, Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre has been fascinating audiences with its intricate and dynamic sculptures known as kinemats. These mechanical artworks, brought to life with music, light, and shadow, inspire wonder and spark imagination.
The theatre was founded by Russian sculptor-mechanic Eduard Bersudsky and theatre director Tatyana Jakovskaya. The pair moved to Scotland in the mid-1990s, bringing Sharmanka with them. Not familiar with Eduard Bersudsky? Well, he’s the lead artist and co-creator of the Millennium Clock at the Royal Museum in Edinburgh, part of the National Museums of Scotland.

3. Get into the holiday spirit at Glasgow’s Winter Wonderlands on Glasgow Green and St Enoch Square

The annual holiday festivities will return to Glasgow Green and St Enoch Square this November, offering the perfect family activities for the season.
From November 21 to January 4, Glasgow Green’s open-air ice rink invites skaters of all ages to enjoy 45-minute sessions in a festive outdoor setting. Meanwhile, St Enoch Square transforms into a magical winter village from November 6 until December 24, 2025. Families can indulge in holiday treats, peruse craft vendors and enjoy live entertainment.
