When one thinks of Halloween and spooky stuff, witches, magic, ghosts, and all things occult usually come to mind. This year, GlasGLOW is bringing not just the spook factor, but also a theme solely dedicated to zombies. Guests can expect an actual Zombie Zoo with live actors, including the chance to enter the ZOMBIE CAGE.
Between October 16 and November 1, Glasgow Botanic Gardens will be transformed into the dystopian world of “Zombie Zoo”, the theme for 2026.

The adventure trail will take up to 70 minutes, bringing chills and thrills to guests of all ages, as well as some interactive light installations. The dopamine-inducing art installations will bring some anticipation and excitement to Glasgow as the days turn darker into October and the clocks go back on October 25.
Step inside Zombie Zoo, the world’s very first zombie containment and conservation park. On your journey, you’ll brave interactive decontamination chambers and high-tech zombie labs, come face-to-face with a towering 8-meter dancing Zombie God, and discover what truly makes your own inner zombie tick.

There’s even the chance to feed the zombies, experience a thrilling up-close zombie encounter inside the ZOMBIE CAGE, make a stop at the zombie pumpkin patch, and enjoy all the twinkling lights in Marshmallowland, which is bursting with beautiful photo opportunities.
Oli Norman, CEO of itison and founder of GlasGLOW, said: “I’ve wanted to bring zombies to GlasGLOW for years, and we’ve gone all out to make this year’s show our biggest and most ambitious yet. There’s action, suspense and surprises around every corner, but it’s also packed with all the magic, fun and interactive experiences that people love about GlasGLOW.

“What we’ve discovered while building Zombie Zoo is that zombies are actually very misunderstood – they just need a bit of love and nurture and we can’t wait for everyone to come meet them.”
It looks like it’s going to be a unique Halloween season this year, and you can book your tickets here. Under 3s also go free!
