1. Cail Bruich
Cail Bruich on Great Western Road are geared up to offer Glasgow residents a five-star ‘at home’ dining experience this Christmas. Posting on their Instagram feed, the team said: “Christmas this year may well be different but the team at Cail Bruich are excited to provide you with everything needed to take you through the festive season. Our festive menu has been curated using beautiful produce from our wonderful suppliers accompanied by house-made cocktails, wines, and champagnes will guarantee you a most luxurious Christmas.”
Dishes on the menu include: Cail Bruich smoked salmon, red onion, caper, sourdough croutons, Exmoor caviar, turkey wrapped in bacon, pork and sage stuffing, turkey gravy, and sticky gingerbread sponge, vanilla, cranberry, almond florentine, brandy anglaise. 2. Home X Christmas By Nico
Back in October the team behind Six by Nico restaurants launched Home-X, an e-commerce platform that aims to bring restaurant quality food and drink experiences to homes across the UK. Now Home-X is offering a festive party experience, to help take the stress out of cooking Christmas dinner. The Christmas feasts start from £150 for two or £250 for four, featuring dishes such as roasted celeriac and apple velouté, peat smoked salmon, traditional turkey ballotine and Christmas spiced sticky toffee pudding.
The Home-X team said: “The Christmas by Nico experience consists of a three-tier stack of gift boxes, that contain a 5-course festive feast including two bottles of wine and a bottle of bubbly, created by the Six by Nico team, to be enjoyed by you. 3. The Loveable Rogue
The Loveable Rogue on Great Western Road, will be delivering four-course Christmas dinner boxes ideal for two to share and are available to order from now until December 15. The restaurant has two options available – ‘The Rogue Christmas Dinner’ priced at £160 with a £10 gift voucher for the restaurant and ‘The Rogue Champagne Christmas Dinner’ priced at £185, which also includes a £20 gift voucher. The Rogue Christmas dinner for two menu includes Jerusalem artichoke soup, beef wellington served with garlic roast potatoes, honey carrots and parsnips, pigs in blankets, braised red cabbage, chestnut and pancetta sprouts, and red wine jus.
Or there’s a traditional feast with Christmas turkey with garlic roast potatoes, honey roast carrots and parsnips, pigs in blankets, braised red cabbage, chestnut and pancetta sprouts, cranberry and turkey Jus. This dinner option also includes I.J Mellis cheese, chutney, Stagg oatcakes; white chocolate, cranberry bread and butter pudding, orange crème anglaise; mince pies and a bottle of red or white wine instead of Champagne. 4. The Anchor Line
This Glasgow restaurant at St Vincent Place is offering a Christmas night out/in, and Christmas dinner deliveries for locals to the city. The Christmas day dinner for two includes a three course festive feast for £65, or an ultimate one for £140, whereas the night out/in offering includes a choose your own menu of three courses for two people for £45. The Anchor Line describes the night out/in dinner as “A three course Christmas night in for two people, chilled, boxed and ready to enjoy at home. Each at home box comes with easy to follow instructions, leaving you to pull your cracker and get the party hat on.”
The night out/in set menu features starters such as duck liver parfait, celeriac and parsnip soup and potted salmon rillette, followed turkey with all the trimmings or a vegetable Malay curry, and either raspberry and white chocolate mousse, mulled fruit cheesecake or sticky toffee pudding for dessert. 5. Eusebi Deli
This popular Glasgow Italian deli and restaurant is offering an easy cook at home option for Christmas. Posting on their social media, the Eusebi team said: “Whatever size our xmas get togethers are this year, there’s always room for spectacular food. Making Christmas dining at home easy. All our meals, roasts , platters and desserts are prepared by our chefs, using the same quality ingredients from independent local producers as we do in the restaurant. Zero effort, 100% Taste!” The restaurant is offering a three-course menu costing £40 per person, as well as Boxing Day meals full of Italian favourites, as well as seafood, cheese or antipasto platters.
Choose from sumptuous starters like avocado and prawn sambuca cocktail, lobster ravioli, game terrine or celeriac and Jerusalem artichoke soup. For mains, Eusebi Deli offers black truffle chicken supreme, roast halibut, beef wellington or a vegetarian winter lasagne. For dessert, tuck into a slice of Sicilian lemon meringue tart, salted caramel delice or white chocolate and pistachio tiramisu. The purveyor of awesome street food in Finnieston, Glasgow, Dockyard Social has announced that they too will be serving delicious, yet reasonably-priced, Christmas dinners this year. Dockyard Social’s Christmas dinner starters include the old school classic – the infamous Prawn Cocktail- or a middle eastern inspired mezze platter. To follow, you can enjoy a perfectly roasted and carved free-range turkey or beef wellington with all of the trimmings, steeped in gravy, as well as vegan option of spiced cauliflower steak with Lebanese condiments, roast almonds and herb salad. To finish, choose from the classic sticky toffee pudding or a mulled apple and blackberry crumble (vegan option available).
