We love a free event, and it’s even better if it involves entertainment and fireworks. Glasgow North East Fireworks Festival is returning to Glasgow Fort this November, delighting visitors with an entire day of fun activities, live music and a fireworks display. The fireworks festival is taking place on Sunday, November 5, starting as early as 11am.
Glasgow North East Fireworks Festival is organised by Community Events Scotland at Glasgow Fort, taking place for 11 hours in total and ending at 10pm. Guests can expect entertainment such as live music, princess pantomime, a live wrestling show from Iron Girders and a host of rides and shows as part of the onsite funfair. Plus, there will also be pop-up food stalls for everyone to enjoy.
Glasgow North East Fireworks Festival line-up
The doors will open at 12pm, with the first stage performance kicking off at 12:15pm. Local legends The Wee Garage Band is set to play at 5pm, while The Drifters and Motown are on at 6pm.
The fireworks display will take place from 7:30pm and the final act closing the event will take place between 8pm and 9:30pm, which has not been announced yet.
The onsite funfair rides will have a fee, however, but the event organisers said that “all rides are subject to a small cost”, so it shouldn’t break the bank.
No tickets are required to attend the free event, so just bring some good vibes and arrive early to avoid missing any desired events. Plus, Glasgow Fort will be open as usual for any shopping needs.
