As the FIFA World Cup kicks off tomorrow (June 11), Scotland is bracing to play Haiti at 2am on Sunday, June 14. While we do have a World Cup Bank Holiday here to help us recover from a sleepless night, getting home safely after the game is just as important. As a result, Glasgow night buses have extended their schedules to help accommodate not only the Sunday World Cup game, but also the rest of the late-night fixtures on June 19 and 24.
Both First Bus and McGill’s will be operating their night buses, so getting home should be easy for most.
Glasgow night bus timetable during the Scotland World Cup games
Sunday, June 14 will see an extended schedule for night buses in Glasgow for the 2am kick-off, while Friday, June 19 will operate as usual. What is more, Wednesday, June 24, will see an extended service to coincide with Scotland playing Brazil.
First Bus
First Bus will operate its 24/7 number 77 bus as usual between the city centre and Charing Cross, Partick, and Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The N2, N18, N240 and N267 will be running later than usual on the Sunday, while a full night bus timetable will operate on Wednesday, June 24, as there are usually no night buses then.

McGill’s Buses
McGill’s Buses has confirmed they will extend their schedule by one hour following the last bus. Normally operating on weekends, the operator will also be running their full night bus schedule on Wednesday, June 24, into the early morning of Thursday, June 25.
