Yes, it’s July, but lots of things happen behind the scenes before the Christmas markets can return. Glasgow Winter Wonderland is no exception, with the dates now confirmed for Glasgow Green.
When is the Winter Wonderland Christmas market coming to Glasgow Green in 2026/2027?
Glasgow Winter Wonderland is officially coming back to Glasgow Green from November 20 to January 3. Guests can expect the ice rink we all know and love to come back once more, with the Early Bird tickets out now, if you’re feeling super organised. You can get your tickets for the ice rink here.
Last year, Glasgow Green lit up with festive joy into the New Year, boasting an ice rink, as well as the biggest beer garden in Glasgow with Innis & Gunn, fitting up to 700 guests with pub quizzes, live music, fire pits, mulled wine and winter cocktails. What is more, guests could enjoy theatre performances, a Glasgow-themed family mini panto, sensory storytelling sessions, Venetian Flying Chairs, a Ferris wheel and the Mad Mouse Rollercoaster, as well as a new thrilling ride, Air.
And, of course, market-goers cannot miss the Festive Bar, packed with even more entertainment and delicious treats.
The dates announcement for the Glasgow Winter Wonderland in Glasgow Green as inspired by the beautiful relationship between Glasgow and Boston during the World Cup with the Tartan Army placing cones on statues’ heads, coming off those positive emotions. After all, we’re twin cities now!
Jensen Taylor Connelly, Director, Scotland’s Theme Park Events, said: “We featured the cone in our branding for Glasgow Winter Wonderland when we launched last year. The post is a bit of fun as the cone was an iconic mascot during the Tartan Army’s trip to the States, capturing imaginations around the world. It was amazing to watch.”
While the exact details of the Christmas markets have not yet been announced, Christmas lovers can now start looking forward to the season in Glasgow.
