Glasgow is serving as a backdrop to yet another major production. After being the filming location for major blockbuster films like Spiderman 4, starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, film crews have now taken over parts of a major street in the West End.
The filming is for the hit period drama The Buccaneers, set in the 1800s. As a result, parts of Sauchiehall Street and surrounding areas have been transported back in time, as the street serves as the perfect set for the production.
As a result, over 10 streets are being used for the filming, with closures set to affect the West End until May 12. Locals and visitors alike can expect closures, as well as parking and loading restrictions.

Royal Crescent and Sauchiehall Street are among those used for The Buccaneers set, with parts of the streets being used. Film crews have already been transforming the streets to look like something from the 19th century, with some disruptions caused since April 24.
