Anyone surprised weegies are the most blunt people in the UK? We’re definitely not, as you can trust the people of Glasgow to tell you how it is. After all, isn’t honesty the pillar of good, long-lasting relationships? However, we ARE surprised by one thing – that Glaswegians were named the third friendliest in the UK.
A new survey conducted by SuomiCasino determined what Brits think of other Brits by asking them to select certain adjectives. People selected adjectives like rude, friendly, blunt and attractive to describe others from the largest cities in the UK.
And well, they were only wrong about one thing – that the people of Glasgow are the third friendliest in the UK. We are, in fact, the friendliest, and everyone knows it. RIGHT?! Still, 29% of respondents voted weegies as the friendliest, while only 48% of local Glaswegians see themselves as friendly. What is more, 13% named Glasgow as the most generous.
On a more serious note, 15% of respondents named Glaswegians as the most blunt in the UK, making them the bluntest in the country.
Plus, Glasgow sure knows how to dress tastefully, as 18% of Glasgow residents described themselves as well-dressed compared to just 7% of Brits.
