According to religious institutions, halal food is the way an animal is killed for meat. To be classed as Halal, the animal must be killed by cutting its throat and without being pre-stunned, letting all the blood drain. So, while Ramadan is almost upon us, we have gathered a list of restaurants in Glasgow that serve halal meat for you to break your fast.
1. Turkiye Efes Restaurant
Starting of the list with Turkish restaurant Turkiye Efes Restaurant, serving traditional Turkish dishes that have been described how one’s mum would make. Authentic cuisine is not the only aspect that the restaurant is proud for: it is a place where families and friends can get together and has become a part of the community since opening this year. Guests can expect hot and cold starters, mixed grill, traditional Turkish pides and house specials.
