Karen’s Diner has been all over social media, and most of us have seen the rude yet hilarious service people have been subjected to. It’s become a place for pranking your grandparents or simply enjoying a laugh with your pals, with multiple permanent locations worldwide. Well, they’re now on tour, and Karen’s Diner is coming to Glasgow’s Corona Bar & Grill between February 24-26.
Guests can expect to be picked on, laughed at, talked back at and forced to play a number of games, as well as receiving a two-course meal and three drinks tokens. The concept was created by young Australian entrepreneurs Aden Levin and James Farrell in 2021, and has taken off since. The pair got inspired by the Karen memes online of customers being extremely rude to staff, so the entrepreneurs have decided to turn it around on the customer. Basically, eat or be eaten, right?
What is more, if your name is actually Karen, you automatically get a free drink as the wait staff rolls their eyes at the sight. As you can imagine, this is their own way to make up for the fact that not all Karens are rude like the internet memes suggest.
While Karen’s Diner is a place for obscene service, eye rolls and sighs, the venue promises great food to make for a memorable night of laughs and games. At the Glasgow pop-up, you can expect Corona Bar & Grill’s best scran.
