Fancy a slice of the action?

There’s a lot of things to be excited for this month- Glasgow in Level 2, beers indoors, Scotland playing in the Euros- but one pizza joint in the city is adding to the excitement with a tasty deal. New restaurant on the block Nonna Said in the Merchant City is aiming to be the numero uno destination in town with their limited-edition pizzas and free slices for the duration of the Euro 2020 tournament.

Nonna Said will be offering fans a great deal with 2 for 1 pizza, all you need to do is simply show your ticket for the Euro 2020 fan zone from this Friday (June 11) until the final day (July 11) to enjoy this special offer. But that’s not all. Head Chef at Nonna Said, Ryan Burns, has created a special menu dedicated to some of the footy teams featuring in the tournament.

Ryan said: “To celebrate the kick-off on Friday it’s a game of two halves with a special Turkey v Italy pizza featuring toppings from the best-selling Lamb Shawarma pizza and the choicest Italian meat cuts.” Nonna Said’s team have even created a Scottish special which features venison, caramelised onion with haggis and Laphroaig single malt Scotch whisky.

Other favourites the pizza restaurant have produced to celebrate the Euros include Portugal with their peri peri central with chicken, prawns, roasted red peppers, plus one dedicated to Holland featuring sugo, grated Mozzarella, Gouda and Edam with a gunpowder garnish.

Nonna Said’s best sellers are also available, such as their tasty Salt and Chilli chicken pizza with fried chicken, salt and chilli spices, spring onion and curry mayo and the Spice Boi with jalapeno poppers, mac and cheese and buffalo sauce. Pizza puritans can enjoy a classic with Nonna’s Calm Doon, Here’s the Margarita or have a taste of home with their Scottish BBQ which features Buckfast BBQ sauce, square sausage, bacon, and spicy mince, making for a perfect pre or post-match pick me up.

Nonna Said encourages fans to book in advance, with the option of heading there before or after the games. The new pizza joint is within walking distance from Glasgow Green, where the fan zone is located, so you’re not far from tasty food to tuck into whether it’s in celebration or commiseration. And if you happen to be watching the football from the comfort of your sofa, you can chill as Nonna Said delivers via Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo.
