In the words of William Gibson, “Time moves in one direction, memory in another.” And now, there are less than three months left of 2025, with Christmas charging at us like a shooting arrow. As memories are all we have left of most of 2025, creating unforgettable new moments from the time left is all we can do. Six By Nico promises just that and more this festive season, inviting guests to indulge in a six-course Nutcracker-themed dinner and make memories with loved ones.

Festive enchantment reigns at Six By Nico this season, offering guests a culinary experience based on the beloved classical fairy tale by E.T.A. Hoffmann, turned holiday tradition after being turned into a classical ballet production. During the experience, diners will embark on a journey of storytelling, magic and imagination featuring a narrator and ballet dancers.
The Nutracker six-course tasting experience at all Six By Nico locations across the country, including the Merchant City, Byres Road and Southside branches in Glasgow. The festive menu runs between November 17 and December 28, giving food lovers plenty of time to enjoy the season.
Priced at £45 per person, guests will be treated to six courses, with both wine and cocktail pairings available for additional purchase.
Secret Glasgow got the chance to experience the menu first-hand before it launched, trying it out for ourselves before Christmastime. And yes, the whole place got decked out in Christmas lights and decorations just for the occasion!

Overall, the menu is adorned with reimagined classics we all know and love, starting with ‘The Gift’, which comes in an actual gift box – a Christmas Tart with baked Gruyère Royale, smoked pancetta jam, chestnut and vanilla emulsion. Adventurers then go ‘Through The Frosted Gate’, with Smoked Salmon, topped with bergamot caviar, cauliflower couscous and frozen horseradish snow, before exploring ‘The Enchanted Market’ – a Carrot Tartare with winter preserves, lovage emulsion, salted gooseberries and hot sauce.
Then, visitors are brought to ‘The Frozen Lake’ – which comes as one of our favourite dishes of the experience – Sea Bass with ember roasted leek, burnt apple, taramasalata and dill pickle apple. And the star of the show is certainly the ‘The Midnight Duel’, Pigs in Blanket, ember-roasted artichoke, black garlic and caramelised mushroom, melting in one’s mouth.

And finally, guests are brought to ‘The Land of Sweets’, with an almond financier bonbon, passionfruit jelly, clementine sorbet, popping candy and candy cane tuile.
