We do love a good wee market, and Glasgow’s South Side is abundant with local artists and makers. So, because not everyone travels down to the South Side as often, rooftop bar VEGA has partnered up with Park Lane Market to set up a wee event with plenty of drinks and 10 stalls from local businesses.
VEGA is hosting a Sip and Shop event boasting views over Glasgow’s rooftops together with Park Lane Market on October 15, inviting guests to grab a glass of bubbly while they support local artists and makers. From 2pm until 6pm, DJ Snafu will also be soundtracking the event and spinning soulful vinyl, setting the mood for shopping.
Park Lane Market is a “community-driven initiative” that focuses on fostering creativity within Glasgow, with an emphasis on artisan products. Their collaboration with VEGA aims to expand their reach introducing their creative market ethos to the city centre and encouraging people to buy locally.
At the Sip and Shop market, guests will get the chance to uncover a handpicked selection of products and crafts from 10 local traders, all under one roof, and enjoy all that VEGA has to offer. From timeless, contemporary accessories and homeware, visitors could even make an early start on their Christmas shopping. What is more, some autumnal drinks will also be on the menu and visitors can enjoy everything from boujee cocktails to elevated coffees.
Lewis Andrew, Park Lane Market organiser said: “We are thrilled to be able to collaborate with VEGA for the debut Sip and Shop event, and are excited to be able to bring a little bit of our Southside market into town.”
Plus, guests can attend for free, they just need to book their spot in advance here.
