Platform, located in the underground vaults under Glasgow Central has long been a staple of the city’s nightlife and events scene. Hosting the likes of magical Candlelight concerts, live music and foodie events, the event space has just announced a whole new festive programme gracing their newest restaurant and events space, Platform 1.
Guests can expect everything from live music and nightlife events to late-night Christmas markets at Platform 1 this November and December, making it the place to be during the joyous season. The new spot opened today (November 17) until late, the multi-room bar, restaurant and events space is calling themselves “not just a bar; a cultural hub, a place where the heart of Glasgow’s vibrant spirit beats the strongest”.
Platform 1 has introduced a brand-new festive cocktail menu that includes a Hazelnut White Russian, a Cranberry and Orange Margarita, alongside hot chocolates, mulled wine and a Hot Bounty with Bacardí coconut, chocolate, whipped cream with a dusting of Cocoa powder. From the kitchen, guests can enjoy mouth-watering small plates, and stone-baked pizzas, fresh from their team of chefs led by Jules McGuire.
Platform 1 is open Wednesday to Sunday from 12pm until late, and guests can book a table on the website.
The festive events line-up
During the festive season, visitors can expect live music from local talent every Thursday from 4pm to 6pm every Friday from 2pm to 6pm and every Saturday from 2pm – 6pm. Afterwards, live DJs will take over the decks until close.

30 – Night Market. In an exciting collaboration with Southside community heroes, Park Lane Market and Secondhand Wonderland, Platform 1 bringing back late-night shopping to the city centre.

14 & 21 – Night market with Park Lane Market and Secondhand Wonderland.
17 – Be Bop Bairns. A Christmas party for the wee ones with face painting, soft play and kids disco.
