Hide away behind the railway arches for a tipple or two.

With drinking alcohol indoors not currently possible, hospitality venues have been working there magic to transform what little outdoor spaces they have available into impressive alfresco dining destinations. And for Glasgow street food market, Platform, they too have created quite the space.

Platform is known for serving up food and drink and hosting events under their signature railway arches on Argyle Street, but the lane behind has now been revamped to become a café on weekdays and an outdoor dining spot.  Guests can enjoy a tipple of two as well as focaccia sandwiches and flatbreads in a little lane furnished with benches, stools, parasols, a pergola and adding a dose of magic with some fairy lights.

Plus, the food and drink venue has made quite the comeback with an impressive and drool-worthy menu. From chicken katsu bao buns and Korean fried cauliflower to fresh focaccia and ricotta gnocchi, Platform has quite the selection for even the fussiest of eaters with pasta and pizza dishes as well as sensational small plates like Padron peppers, fish tacos, honey maple ribs and buttermilk chicken burgers.

As for the sweet! We’ve got our eye on the Crunchy Nut cornflake affogato with house made cereal milk ice cream. Plus, there’s the Platform Piece ice cream sandwich- salted caramel ice cream, Dulce Du Leche and praline sandwiched between peanut butter cookies.

Platform also boasts its very own in house microbrewery, operated by Innis & Gunn, bringing a rotating line up of three exclusive beers known as Arch Brews. Its quite the place for even the most discerning craft beer connoisseurs with a craft beer range featuring brews such as a mint choc chip porter or a raspberry ripple sour.

You can book a table to this street food market online and Platform also welcomes walk-ins. Their outdoor café is open Monday to Thursday, 11am to 5pm. Guests can also dine inside under the arches Friday to Sunday from 12pm til 8pm, and outdoors from 12pm til 10pm, Friday to Saturday, plus 12pm til 8pm on Sunday.
