The world’s largest rodents, as well as the friendliest animals in the world, have arrived in the second location in Scotland, after the Edinburgh Zoo. Capybaras have been taking over the internet over the last years, winning our hearts over throughout. As a result, a pair of semi-aquatic mammals have now been welcomed at the Scottish Deer Centre, making it the second place in Scotland to go see capybaras.
Located in Cupar in Fife, an hour and a half from Glasgow, the Scottish Deer Centre houses 150 animals from 31 different species. With a whopping 12 species of deer, guests can also witness the only wolf pack in Fife, as well as otters, and other rare Scottish species, including the Wildcat. What is more, the park is also home to a birds-of-prey centre.

The two newest arrivals are co-owner David Hamilton’s daughter’s favourite animals, so the decision to get them was easy. The two capybara siblings are named Harry and Millie, and they have received plenty of love since their arrival on October 10.
So far, the pair has been described as chilled out and loves splashing in their enclosure’s specially-built pool.
The Scottish Deer Centre posted on Instagram, welcoming their new residents: ““Knock knock”….”Who’s there?”…..”Capy”…..”Capy who?”….”Capybaras now at The Scottish Deer Centre & Wildlife Park”
