As Spring is fast approaching and we’re witnessing nature starting to bloom, it’s time to start planning colourful days out. Well, Craigie’s farm has got you covered this April, as they are hosting a massive Scottish Tulip Festival.
Located in South Queensferry an hour from Glasgow, Craigies Farm opened in 1988 with a one-table shop in a converted barn, while a cafe was added in 2007. Over the years, the location has expanded to an extensive Pick Your Own and Little Farmers adventure farm park, becoming one of the UK’s top farm shop destinations today. What is more, brand new Highland cow watching and goat walking experiences have been added recently!
The Scottish Tulip Festival
According to Craigie’s farm, the Scottish Tulip Festival should take place between April 13 and 27, and between April 30 and May 4. However, visitors are encouraged to keep an eye on the opening dates, as they might change based on the crop.
During the experience, guests can marvel at a colourful sea of tulips, with plenty of photo ops, as well as live music and street food.
Tickets range from £6.50 to £9.50, depending on the day, and visitors must select their exact arrival time. You can book your tickets on the Craigie’s farm website.
Things to do at Craigie’s farm

On top of the Scottish Tulip Festival, guests can indulge in an Afternoon Tea at their cafe, purchase fresh produce at the farm shop, or set off on a Little Farmers Adventure with a massive playground and animal handling.
And if you’re not into Afternoon Tea, Craigie’s Farm Cafe boasts a stellar breakfast and lunch menu boasting delights like Eggs Benedict, The Farmhouse Fry Up and plenty of sandwiches to choose from.
