It’ll be called ‘The Chippie 2.0’.
Re-opening their doors on the 17th July in style, Six By Nico will be bringing back its much-loved chippy-style menu, which won the hearts of Scots during its original re-opening back in 2017.
The conceptual dining experience, the brainchild of Scottish-Italian chef Nico Simeone, will bring back its evolving menu of dishes from next Friday – which fans have been able to enjoy via takeaway during lockdown.
Reimagining the classic British dinner, the creative new menu will put a good old twist on the hearty dish with beautifully presented plates such as fancy Chips & Cheese, Scrabster Monkfish, Steak Pie, Fish Supper and even a deep-fried Mars bar. Naturally, in true Six By Nico style – none of these dishes will be typical of what you’d expect from your local chippy, each created with a delicate hand so you can really enjoy the flavours, rather than scoff it all in one go while the TV is on.
Chef Nico Simeone said; “The Chippie was originally designed to bring a sense of fun and nostalgia, and when talking to our team and Six by Nico community about which menu we wanted to re-open with, it was clear we wanted to bring those feelings back.
“The Chippie was a hugely popular menu across all of our restaurants the first time around, and so not only does this mean our existing customers get the opportunity to experience a new version, but it gives us the chance to share it with even more people the second time around”.
Six By Nico restaurants across the country – including Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow, Belfast and Edinburgh – will re-open at a limited capacity, with the ‘Chippie 2.0’ menu available from July 17-September 6th.
