There is just a certain charm about arts and crafts, sending us off into creative bliss, making our brain go quiet, even if just for a little while. The Craft Pottery is hosting a pottery painting tapas party next week, bringing all the fellow crafties into one place.
The Craft Pottery is bringing their magic to Glasgow, hosting a pottery painting tapas party with live music. Crafty people will gather at Revolucion De Cuba at the Culzean Building between 3pm and 5pm on Sunday, August 4, where they can choose from a range of mugs, plates and bowls to paint.
What is more, attendees can also choose from a spoon rest, milk jug, pen pot or piggy bank if they don’t fancy yet another piece of crockery.
The menu for the evening is Revolution De Cuba’s Latin-inspired tapas, including calamari, empanadas, tacos, Padron peppers and patatas bravas. And those who fancy a wee cocktail or two can indulge in offerings like sangria, various spritzes and margaritas.
Beth Hoad, Studio Director at The Craft Pottery said: “This is our eighth time working with the team at Revolucion De Cuba, and it’s always a blast. Something about tapas and pottery just works!

Come along for some great music, great food and even greater cocktails – and of course, painting some gorgeous pottery pieces. We have a great range of pottery on offer at this event, so please do send us photos on Instagram – we love to see them!”
Crafters just need to pay a £5 studio fee which includes unlimited paints, the use of all studio materials, glazing and firing costs and essential packaging to keep your items safe. Upon arrival, you will just have to purchase your chosen pottery, which is not included in the fee, and it ranges between £3-£40 with most pieces being between £10-£20.
Moreover, any food and drinks can be purchased directly from Revolution De Cuba on the day.
