Tom Walker is the Scottish-born star who delighted the world with Leave A Light On in 2018, topping global charts. Ever since, Walker rose to fame and is now releasing his second album ‘I Am’ which comes out in May. However, Tom Walker is set to perform his smallest gig in years in Glasgow tonight, celebrating Burns Night.
The Scotia Bar on Stockwell Street is hosting the Kilsyth-born singer-songwriter, with the performance starting at around 9pm. So, mark your calendars and set your alarms, for it’s going to be a good one!
Tom Walker announced the surprise gig on his Instagram account, saying: “Wanted to do something fun for Burns Night since I am in Glasgow, so I’ll meet you at the Scotia Bar for a lil’ acoustic set at 9pm. […] It’s only a little bar, you can only host about a hundred people at a time in there, so if you wanna come down, come down. Get a little seat, get a little bevvy. See you there!”
As usual, people gathered in the comments to express their excitement, saying: “Never wanted to be in Glasgow more”, while another said: “Ah this is exciting”.
However, for those who can’t make it tonight, Tom Walker is coming back to Glasgow’s O2 Arena for two nights on April 30 and May 1. While the April 30 gig is sold out, you can book your tickets for the second night on the singer’s website.
