Caribbean food and rum lovers will be delighted to hear a brand new spot is making its way to Glasgow. Turtle Bay opened its first Scottish restaurant in Glasgow, which is delighting guests with plenty of rum options, tropical cocktails, reggae and Caribbean food treats.
Turtle Bay is a Caribbean-inspired food restaurant taking inspiration from beach shacks in Barbados, originally based in Bristol. Each restaurant boasts an island bar, friendly vibes and reggae beats, aiming to recreate the atmosphere where guests go in at 5pm and the next thing they know it’s midnight. If that’s the case, it sounds like Turtle Bay will fit right in among Glaswegians!
The new location for Turtle Bay in Glasgow will be St Vincent Street, on the corner of Hope Street. What is more, Turtle Bay has recently opened its 50th branch in Camden, London, and has a total goal of expanding to 120 locations.
The menu boasts a myriad of options, where guests can start early with a boozy brunch, or just opt for the rest of the menu later on in the day. In other locations, BBQ Jerk Pit options include Jerk Chicken Breast with marinated & chargrilled chicken breast topped with our rich jerk gravy, served with slaw, and either coconut rice and peas or spiced fries.
Guests can also opt for starters and small plates, like the Crispy Chilli Squid, Sweetcorn Fritters or Rum BBQ Wings. The extensive cocktail menu is also impressive, with plenty of tropical options, such as Passion Rum Punch with dark rum, passionfruit, fresh lime and pineapple, or Tropical Spritz with Cockspur Pineapple, Triple Sec, pineapple and soda.
More information on when this is coming to Glasgow is still incoming, so we shall keep you updated when it comes.
