Classic is a word that is extremely fitting for this candlelight concert. On September 10 you will have the chance to see Vivaldi & Mozart at Pollok House. The formidable Glasgow venue has great significance as a cultural site and was where the discussions for the founding of the National Trust for Scotland took place. It is of course now a part of the National Trust and is one of the grandest venues under the Trust’s care. With such a classic venue it makes sense to have two of the great names of classical music grace the site’s grounds. To add to the elegance of the occasion this is going to be an open air candlelit concert. Sound good? Then get your tickets here.
Having Vivaldi & Mozart at Pollok House is going to be a night to remember. An experience you will likely not get the chance to experience again. Bathed under glowing candlelight and the ambience of the natural allure of Pollok House, this intimate performance is going to be hard to top. Vivaldi and Mozart really need no introduction, there’s a reason they’re so well known. You can expect to hear the duo’s most recognisable concertos and compositions performed by a wonderful string quartet. Be ready for a classic night. (Couldn’t help but slip that one in)
Candlelight Open Air: Vivaldi & Mozart at Pollok House starts at 7 pm, with a repeat show at 9.15 pm for those that need a later start. Pollok House’s gardens will be glowing under the soft light of candles; the candlelight and (hopefully) light summer breeze will create a sublime, intimate ambience. Paired with the elegance of a night of Vivaldi and Mozart, it’s almost a no brainer to get tickets for this one which start at only £25.
