This year, Eurovision Song Contest is happening in Liverpool, merging both Ukrainian and British cultures together. Since the final is taking place on May 13, might as well start looking into where to watch the show. So, to make things easier for everyone, we’ve summoned up a list of the best places to watch the Eurovision final in Glasgow.
1. Everyman Cinema
Everyman Cinema Glasgow is hosting a Eurovision final live watch party in their cinema located in Princes Square Shopping Centre. Guests can enjoy a night of Eurovision chaos from the comfort of soft couches and armchairs, all with surround sound and a huge screen. Tickets are £21.40 and include entry, a drink, snacks and a scorecard, so Eurovision lovers can be the judges themselves. Guests are also encouraged to dress up in their best Eurovision fancy dress, as well as show off those sweet dance moves during the party.
2. The Polo Lounge
This one’s a bit more lively than the cinema option, and equally as exciting. The Polo Lounge in Merchant City will be hosting a Eurovision party, hosted by Bella and the Bear. The Polo Lounge describes themselves as “Scotland’s premier queer nightclub“, so expect all the campness that comes along with Eurovision. The venue spans over two floors and boasts four rooms, including Polo Lounge, Riding Rooms Glasgow, Polo Club and Club X.
3. The Shed
For those not wanting to go all the way to the city centre to watch the Eurovision final, The Shed in the Southside of Glasgow has got you covered. The nightclub is hosting a Eurovision screening party filled with themed drinks, good vibes and prizes for the best dressed, as well as free entry. However, party goers still need to book tickets in order to attend, and the party starts at 7pm, going until midnight. So, get your best Eurovision outfit on and just have fun!
4. Committee Room No.9
Those who love a traditional pub can head to Committee Room No.9 to watch all three Eurovision events on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Calling it “the Olympics of music”, the pub will be hosting three Eurovision Live parties throughout the week with live drag performances from Skinny Minnie and Rome Mosaic, score sheets and themed cocktails. However, do make sure to book in advance as it will get busy!
