Green Gates Indian Restaurant in Glasgow is officially one of the best restaurants for casual dining, according to the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2026.
With two branches in Merchant City and Sauchiehall Street, Green Gates Indian Restaurant boasts Indian tapas in a relaxed setting, famous for its viral naan bowls.
The Glasgow joint took fourth place on the casual dining UK list, while Casa Brazilian Rodizio in York is the winner for 2026. Plus, Edinburgh closely followed, with Makars Mash Bar in second place. Third spot went to Lavang Shirley, and the top five was rounded up with Vincenzo Trattoria in Manchester. And looks like London is nowhere to be seen!
Green Gates Indian Restaurant is already a favourite for many, and has everything one may need when it comes to Indian cuisine. Their Tapas Menu is the one to watch out for, especially curries served in a naan bread bowl.

What is more, this is not the only Glasgow spot that made it into the top ten, as Momo Hub Mother Nepal also took the ninth spot on the UK’s casual dining list!
