The Ivy Glasgow has moved to a brand new location, giving diners quite the upgrade with two dining destinations in one place. Now that the Buchanan Street branch is no more, the people of Glasgow can take a first look at the new majestic building.
If opulent grandeur is your style, the new Ivy Glasgow location will be right up your street. Located on Saint Vincent Place, the historic location boasts architecture inspired by Renaissance Florence, and is a Grade A-listed building built in the 1870s. As you walk in, expect to be greeted with interiors that could rival The Dome in Edinburgh, with the bar in centre stage boasting a gigantic tree under a glass dome.

Easily one of the most beautiful restaurants in Glasgow, the spot boasts two dining destinations in one place – The Ivy Brasserie and The Ivy Asia. The Ivy Asia is the first in Scotland, offering Asian-inspired dishes and dream-like interiors with a glowing crystal floor, transporting visitors to a completely different space from the grand hall.
The Ivy Asia is “the creative vision” of Adam Ellis, who is the art consultant and interior collaborator for The Ivy Collection, marrying the historic aspects of the building with an otherworldly, curated feel. During their visit, guests can expect a “theatrical dining” experience with hand-crafted sushi, bold flavours and plenty more.
However, the grand hall of The Ivy Brasserie is what will really take one’s breath away, as the echoes of its former glory as a bank building become evident to those who enter. What is more, a historic clock from 1837 from the former bank’s original telling room has also been restored and hung on display above the reception entrance.

Olivia Wong, Senior General Manager at The Ivy Glasgow, said: “Moving to St Vincent Place is an exciting new chapter for The Ivy Glasgow. The building has so much character, and we wanted to create a setting that makes the most of its original features while bringing in the distinctive interiors and artwork that guests expect from The Ivy Collection and The Ivy Asia.
“From the breathtaking glass dome of The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie to the vibrant, theatrical interiors of The Ivy Asia, every detail has been considered to create a memorable experience from the moment guests step through the doors.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming guests into our new home, whether they’re joining us for a familiar favourite, a special occasion or to discover the space for the first time. With The Ivy Asia making its Scottish debut alongside our beautiful new brasserie, this marks a hugely exciting new chapter for The Ivy in Glasgow.”
The Ivy Glasgow is opening its doors on Tuesday, October 20, for all-day dining, located at 30-40 St Vincent Place. You can book your table here.
