As the Paris Olympics are (sadly) coming to an end, viewers from all over the world are celebrating their countries and their well-earned medals. As of today, (August 8), the UK has earned 12 gold, 17 silver and 20 bronze medals, making it the fifth country with the most medals in the world. However, things did not turn out as great for Glasgow-born Andy Murray and Dan Evans this year, marking the ending of Murray’s career.
Unsurprisingly, Andy Murray also showed his quality Scottish patter by posting on X, saying: “Never even liked tennis anyway”.
While the loss at the Paris Olympics did not get us a medal in tennis, Andy Murray is officially the richest Olympian of all time at Team GB, and by a mile. The former world’s number one topped the list of the richest British Olympians with a £62 million net worth, according to a list compiled by Vegas Slots Online. Now that’s quite the ending to a 20-year tennis career!

Murray is followed by GB sailor Ben Ainslie, with an estimated net worth of £46 million, and six-time gold medal-winning cyclist Chris Hoy, with a net worth of £38 million.
