Glasgow has doubled as New York City for films like ‘Batman’ and ‘Spider-Man 4’, as well as being featured in multiple seasons of the cult TV series ‘Outlander’. So, it’s safe to say that film and TV tours are abundant in the city, exploring all the filming locations, making Scotland’s biggest city one of the best set-jetting destinations in the UK.
Beloved tour operator Rabbie’s has reflected on the set-jetting trend for 2026, creating an index of the best places to go for film and TV lovers. The study ranked UK cities by the number of TV shows and films shot in each area, as well as the number of available tours.
Unsurprisingly, London topped the list with a whopping 1,984 of TV shows shot in the city, and 8,335 films. Edinburgh came second on the list, with a measly 84 TV series shot in the city, as well as 243 films, while Glasgow boasts significantly larger numbers at third spot, with 134 TV series and 330 films being shot there.

Liverpool was fourth on the list, with 83 TV series and 301 films, while Manchester rounded up the top five with 310 series and 388 films.
