Bongo’s Bingo is officially returning to Glasgow and has announced the April dates this week. The infamous bingo rave night will return to its’ usual spot, SWG3, for five nights (and one day). As usual, Bongo’s Bingo promises wild escapism, impeccable vibes, banging tunes and unusual prizes for everyone to win.
Bongo’s Bingo launched in 2015 and has gained significant traction since. Most events are sold out around the UK, so getting a ticket can sometimes be difficult. With all the usual antics with the brilliant host and the dancers, dance intervals in between an honest (but tipsy) game of bingo, the boozy shenanigans will be ones to remember.
Ravers can win anything and everything from Henry Hoovers to mobility scooters or karaoke machines: there are very few limits to the prizes. And if you win one of those 20ft wacky waveys, we’d love to see what it looks like in your back garden.
While we’re not sure how April is already less than two months away, seven Glasgow shows have been added to celebrate Springtime at the Bongo’s Bingo extravaganza. Players are going to be subjected to some friendly competitiveness playing your good ol’ regular bingo, with the regular rave breaks and just overall organised chaos throughout.
Jonny Bongo, Bongo’s Bingo co-founder, says: “Almost 9 years in and it’s still surreal to reflect on our journey. We’re hyped to be getting stuck into 2024 and the biggest pinch-me moment of the year so far is embarking on our long-awaited venture to break America. We’re launching in New York on Saturday February 17th with a run of three shows.
We also have plans to perform at more festivals than ever before including our party sets at Snowbombing, Mighty Hoopla, The Cambridge Club and others. And right now, we’re super excited to have our Glasgow April dates on sale at SWG3.”
