That warm fuzzy feeling as you turn on a familiar Christmas film, with the lights from the Christmas tree being the only mood lighting needed. Now, Glaswegians can experience all the Christmassy feels together, as there are plenty of Christmas movie screenings in and around Glasgow.
1. Platform 1
Platform 1 is hosting a myriad of late-night festive events this season, with everything from live music and nightlife events to late-night Christmas markets. Plus, guests can expect Christmas movie screenings in the heart of Glasgow on December 23 and 24 starting from 7pm.
2. itison Drive-in Movies
itison Drive-in Movies, is coming to Loch Lomond Shores from December 15 – 24 as it enters its tenth year. Scotland’s biggest drive-in event will bring an abundance of Christmas joy, showing all the classics from ELF to It’s a Wonderful Life, and from Die Hard to Home Alone. 3. Grosvenor Picture Theatre
Located on Ashton Lane, Grosvenor Cinema is Glasgow’s only fully licensed cinema with sofa chairs as well as full-size couches. This season, visitors can go watch screenings of some all-time Christmas favourites such as ELF, White Christmas, Love Actually, Gremlins, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Home Alone, Miracle on 34th Street, It’s A Wonderful Life, Die Hard and The Muppet Christmas Carol, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. 4. Sloan’s
Friends fans will be happy to hear Sloan’s is hosting a movie night screening of selected Friends Christmas episodes on December 10! What is more, the bar is also showing all the other classics we all love, like ELF, Home Alone, The Grinch, The Holiday and more until Christmas Eve. For £24 per person, guests will get to see one of the Christmas movie screenings in central Glasgow, as well as receive a main meal and a Christmas cocktail.
