The Coca-Cola Christmas truck that has graced our screens since 1995 is back and it’s embarking on its 2021 tour around the UK. To perk us up after last year’s tour was cancelled, Coca-Cola has announced that it will return and will be handing out their cans of free Coca-Cola from their festive truck.

The truck – that I used to believe was Father Christmas’ new and improved sleigh – is planning to make stops at supermarket branches across the country, as well as some shopping centres too, however these dates and destinations will gradually be announced. To kick off the 2021 tour, the Coca-Cola Christmas truck will be making its first stop at Glasgow’s Silverburn Shopping Centre on November 24 to bring plenty of festive freebies and joy.

Visitors will be able to get their festive fill of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, as well as the opportunity for some seasonal selfies in front of the iconic red truck in a “magical winter wonderland setting.” Plus, this year, the tour is part of Coca-Cola’s Real Magic campaign, carrying a message of festive joy and inclusion, reminding us that “real magic happens in the moments of warmth and connection that we share with others”.

Louise Maugest, Marketing Director at Coca-Cola Great Britain, said: “Coca-Cola has always been synonymous with Christmas, particularly the iconic Truck Tour. With the magic of Christmas needed now more than ever, we thought it was only right that we bring it back this year, safely and securely. The Coca-Cola Truck Tour has always been a moment to remind us of the importance of togetherness and community, something particularly prevalent during the festive season.”

In 2019, Coca-Cola handed out cans of Coca-Cola Zero and you were able to pick up personalised bottles too. Visitors to the truck were also invited to bring along cans for recycling, because for each and every can recycled, Coca-Cola donated 10p to national homelessness charity Crisis.
