In the brisk October air, weegies usually look for solace in getting cosy, partaking in autumnal activities and spending quality time with friends and family. As such, we are obsessed with all things pumpkin, spooky themes and admiring the colours of the changing seasons. Craigies Farm is allowing us to do just that, with its annual Pumpkin Festival, including a series of autumn events with pumpkin picking and other autumnal activities for the whole family.
Located in South Queensferry, Craigies Farm opened in 1988 with a one-table shop in a converted barn, while a cafe was added in 2007. Over the years, the location has expanded to an extensive Pick Your Own and Little Farmers adventure farm park, becoming one of the UK’s top farm shop destinations today.

This October, Craigies Farm Pumpkin Festival will feature the return of their pumpkin patch starting on October 1, offering views over the stunning South Queensferry countryside. From October 11, visitors will be able to partake in several autumnal activities for some spooky fun for the whole family, including a giant bale maze, barrel train rides through spooky tunnels, tractor-trailer rides, bale tower and outdoor games, storytelling, marshmallow toasting and more.
Plus, guests are able to purchase add-ons that are not included in the ticket price, such as pay-what-you-want

pumpkins, paintball, axe-throwing and funfair rides. There will also be food and drink stalls for anyone feeling peckish.
However, the ‘pick your own’ pumpkin patch will be open for the whole month of October, with tickets being released weekly depending on availability. The rest of the activities are open between October 11 and 31.
Craigies Farm Owner John Sinclair said: “Our pumpkin patch has always been popular, but we are taking it to the next level with our exciting new Halloween events this year. With both day and nighttime events taking place, there truly is something for every family, no matter how old the kids are. The illuminations will be a spectacular sight, and we can’t wait to see our fields transformed – we are expecting tickets to fly out the door, so I would recommend booking early to secure your visit.”
Craigies Farm Pumpkin Festival is taking place the whole month of October, with the full range of activities commencing on October 11. You can get your tickets here.
