Finally, a party we can ALL get behind. Unless, of course, you’re allergic to dugs. A doggy disco party is coming to Glasgow this June, bringing sausage dogs, doodles and all other adorable dugs into one place. The extremely dog-friendly event is set to have dedicated times for dachshunds, doodles and then all other sociable dogs. I mean, you can bring your introverted doggie, too, as long as they’re not mean to others.
The Pawesome Parties Doggy Disco is taking place on June 8 at Popworld on West George Street, offering a unique opportunity to have a wee party with the whole family without having to leave your furry friends at home. Visitors can expect dog sofas, ball pits, glow sticks, photo props and unlimited pupuppuccinos and treats.
The family-friendly Pawesome Parties Doggy Disco event will take over the whole Popworld venue for 75 minutes, keeping everyone entertained with a drinks menu and doggy competitions for the best dressed, best kisser and the cutest. Come on, they’re ALL the cutest!
What is more, there will also be pop-up shops from local businesses, bringing tasty treats, baked goods and accessories.
Event manager at Pawesome Parties, Leanne Ferguson said: “The sessions last 75 minutes which is like an intense walk for them. It is a big sensory experience for them socialising with other like-minded dogs and people.”
Rules for the Doggy Disco
While most friendly dogs are welcome, there are some rules to be followed. The Pawesome Parties website states: “All friendly dogs welcome but there are some doggy do’s and dont’s:
- Do bring friendly and socialised dogs
- Do feel free to let your Dog off the lead but…
- Do keep a close watch over your dog
- Don’t leave dog poo behind – put in bin
- Don’t bring aggressive dogs to the event
- Don’t bring dogs in season”
For those who can’t make it on June 8, another event will be held in Ayrshire at Harperlands Dog Runs as well as at Yogi’s Land in Lanarkshire on June 9. You can book tickets for any Pawsome Parties Doggy Disco event here.
