After a hiatus of 11 years, everyone’s favourite girl group Girls Aloud are back for a reunion tour in May and June 2024, performing 15 dates across the UK and Ireland.
The tour is dedicated to the memory of the late and much-missed Sarah Harding, one of the members of the iconic pop group, who tragically lost her battle with breast cancer back in 2021.
The pop group themselves first burst onto the scene back in 2002, when they competed on hit ITV show Popstars: The Rivals and hit the top of the UK Singles Chart at Christmas with the smash-hit ‘Sound of the Underground’.
They then went on to achieve a string of 20 consecutive top ten singles in the United Kingdom, including three other number ones (‘I’ll Stand by You’, ‘The Promise’ and ‘Walk This Way’ with the Sugababes) – not to mention two number one albums (‘Out of Control’ and ‘The Sound of Girls Aloud: The Greatest Hits’).
While there is no new music planned, you can expect them to play all the hits when they hit the stage in May, kicking off the tour in Dublin on Saturday May 18. Other dates planned are as follows:
- Mon 20 May – SSE Arena Belfast
- Thurs 23 & Fri 24 May – Manchester AO Arena
