When one thinks of Halloween and spooky stuff, witches, magic, ghosts and all things occult usually come to mind. This year, GlasGLOW is bringing exactly that, questioning the true meaning of existence and life beyond death as well as the essence of Halloween. Between October 25 and November 3, Glasgow Botanic Gardens will be transformed into the spooky world of Trick or Treat, which is the theme for 2024.
“This Halloween season, the doors to 10 new realms will open. Ten worlds to excite or scare. Knock knock… if you dare.”
The adventure trail will take up to 70 minutes, bringing chills and thrills to guests of all ages as well as some feel-good interactive light installations. The dopamine-inducing art installations will bring some anticipation and excitement to Glasgow as the days turn darker into October and the clocks go backwards on October 29.

GlasGLOW will be celebrating the event’s seventh successful year in 2024, it has become a sold-out show every year, loved by locals and visitors alike. Each year the theme changes, bringing a new aspect of escapism to life: and this year, it is breaking the veil between dimensions.
The ten worlds contain mysteries from BoneYard and CarnEvil to Clowntown and Haunted Hoose, as well as CampSite and meeting pumpkin friends at The Patch.
On top of enjoying the spooktacular world of ten mysterious Trick or Treat realms, visitors will have the chance to visit the famous Marshmallowland where they can toast smores by the campfire with marshmallow skewers.
Creator of GlasGLOW and Itison CEO, Oli Norman, said: “Since launching GlasGLOW back in 2018, over 650,000 people have joined us at the event and we can’t wait to show you what we have in-store this year. This year at GlasGLOW, there’s some pretty scary sections that I can’t wait for you to see! Don’t worry if you’re not up for it though, there will be a scenic route available to avoid any frights!”
“It’s really important to us that every GlasGLOW brings good to the local area – last year we raised a fantastic £20,000 at the event for some brilliant local charities and we’re excited to be bringing The itison Pumpkin Fund back this year aiming to raise even more. Every year peak tickets sell out within minutes so make sure you set a reminder to get the slots you want.”
Moreover, The itison Pumpkin Fund will also return having raised £80,000 for local charities since 2019, spreading pumpkin joy around the city and donating over 7,000 tickets to local community organisations, hospitals and charities.
It looks like it’s going to be a unique Halloween season this year, and you can book your Earlybird tickets here starting from 7:30am on August 21. Under 3s also go free!
