Cocktails are quite possibly one of the best creations and they may just be one out there for everyone. Luckily for weegies, the city is hosting Glasgow Cocktail Week, dedicated to splendid and mouth-watering cocktails created by local bars, restaurants, hotels and more.
Taking place from April 19 to April 28, Glasgow Cocktail Week is set to bring the party with a jam-packed line-up of fun immersive events, secret takeovers, brunches, masterclasses and immersive tastings announced in partnership with famous alcohol brands. Plus, the organisers are introducing a secret hub that will add an element of mystery and luxury, providing a unique space for exclusive events and a memorable month for cocktail aficionados.
Celebrating cocktail culture across the city, almost 20 of Glasgow’s most-loved venues are taking part to bring memorable moments and delicious drinks to the festival including popular cocktail hangouts, such as Anchor Line, modern Scottish pub, The Gate, sky-high venue VEGA, or the negroni and wine bar Malo.
A full schedule full of participating bars, immersive events, masterclasses and secret takeovers has now been released, unveiling a bunch of exciting and quirky happenings. Ticket holders will once again have access to hundreds of exclusive discounted cocktails and unlock Glasgow Cocktail Week menus featuring imaginative serves with their wristbands at a host of top venues across the city.

The cocktail trail
A new tourism partnership with the city’s Regional Food Group, Experience Glasgow Food & Drink is also on the horizon with the festival to develop the first-ever Glasgow Cocktail Trail with a digital map, trail and website. Experience Glasgow already offers a free Glasgow Beer Trail and Glasgow Coffee Trail for drink lovers to enjoy.
Glasgow Cocktail Week organiser, Nicola Moir said: “Now more than ever, you want to seek out new experiences with your friends. That’s why we’ve created brand new interesting events and our first-ever line-up of GCW masterclasses that combine premium brands and beautiful cocktails in our stunning popup bar and events space in Princes Sq. We’ll be bringing some of the UK’s most exciting drinks brands to the city centre, to invite cocktail lovers to learn more about classic serves, and potentially discover their new favourite cocktail.”
“These fun, interactive classes are the perfect way to mix things up for a totally unique day out in Glasgow, with limited spaces available. Plus, after the classes, guests can sit back and relax in the popup Courtyard Bar, enjoy our immersive setup, and get some great cocktails and pictures for the ‘gram.”
Festival wristbands for Glasgow Cocktail Week are now on sale and start from £7.50 Early Bird tickets. The full price for a wristband is £10.
So, the countdown has officially begun for cocktail lovers with only four weeks to go, and we cannot wait.
