Discover the marvellous drinks this city has to offer.
Glasgow Cocktail Week has started today with a full city cocktail takeover over the next ten days. To celebrate the organisers have released three cocktail tours in partnership with Halewood artisanal drinks for guests to explore some of the city’s best bars including recently opened Abandon Ship Bar, sky-high VEGA and Moskito.
With over 30 of Glasgow’s most loved venues taking part, you’re invited to plan your cocktail adventure and get exploring the city one sip at a time. Ticket holders can enjoy cocktail sampling, exciting events and access to 100s of exclusively discounted cocktails and unlock Glasgow Cocktail Week menus featuring imaginative £5 serves at a host of top venues across the city.
There are three cocktail trails as part of Glasgow Cocktail Week for you to explore between September 24 and October 3. For those who want to stick to the city centre, there’s a trail featuring the likes of Ralph & Finns, The Citizen, Anchor Line, Platform, Abandon Ship Bar, Tabac and VEGA.
If you fancy heading west of the city, try the City/ West tour featuring Dakota, Moskito, Tiki, Finnieston, Fore Play Crazy Golf, The Parlour, Cranside Kitchen and Vodka Wodka to name a few. Fore Play Crazy Golf will be serving a cocktail known as ‘Peach of a Putt’ featuring Dead Man’s Fingers mango rum and passionfruit, peach purée, cranberry and blackcurrant cordial.
Or head on to the Merchant City / East and visit the likes of The Spiritualist, The Gate, Bowlarama, The DAM and St Lukes to enjoy imaginative cocktails. Enjoy an adult version of a banana split at Bowlarama featuring Dead Man’s Fingers banana rum blended into a milkshake, chocolate and a mini doughnut. Or sip on a boozy pornstar martini or ‘penicillin’ slushie at The Gate for a reasonable £5.
As well as trails, you’ll also find memorable moments with a raft of fun events created exclusively for Glasgow Cocktail Week to celebrate cocktail culture in the city including silent disco drinks at VEGA, brunch bingo at The Gate or a gin tasting with an awesome soundtrack at The Spiritualist. Plus, a pink Tequila Rose Scotland Cart Tour will also be popping up over the ten days in venues including Fore Play Crazy Golf for ticket holders to enjoy.
But it gets even better as the hidden speakeasy Wheesht is coming back for one night only in a top-secret event to celebrate Glasgow Cocktail Week on September 28th. And to close the festival on October 3rd, there’s a jazz and gin Sunday called Fin & Gin at the Finnieston celebrating the best of Scottish seafood and award-winning gin.
Guests that purchase an All Access ticket will enjoy one session at the silent disco in the sky at VEGA, a wristband to unlock exclusive menus and £5 drinks in the festival and your pick of the events found here. Choose to go as many as you wish as part of your ticket price.
