College Students In Glasgow Are Creating Care Packages For The Elderly

Students at City of Glasgow College are creating care packages for vulnerable people to help them cope with the coronavirus crisis.

The packages will include soap, soup, toilet paper, etc — a bunch of essential items that will be delivered to the elderly and people in need.

According to their JustGiving page, they will be sending them out to local community groups in the Townhead Village Hall and St Mungo’s RC Church, who work with elderly and vulnerable groups. They will be collecting donations until Tuesday March 17 and delivering the care packages on Thursday March 19.

The Student’s Association at City of Glasgow College initially hoped to raise £500, but have already surpassed their target more than two-fold. You too can help by donating to their JustGiving page here.
