1. The Polo Club
The Polo Lounge in Merchant City describes themselves as “Scotland’s premier queer nightclub“, so expect all sorts of themed events most nights of the week. The venue spans over two floors and boasts four rooms, including Polo Lounge, Riding Rooms Glasgow, Polo Club and Club X, with plenty of space for party goers to enjoy. Club X hosts Dynamo Mondays, a queer club night, The Polo Lounge is home to Camp! on Tuesdays that is a fabulous drag show, Polo’s Lollipop Wednesdays are there for a midweek dance, and Popworld Thursdays are there for all the pop music lovers. Weekend themes are everchanging, so there is something for everyone at the venue seven nights a week.

2. The Underground Glasgow
The Underground Glasgow used to be known as Revolver Bar, and is located on John Street in Glasgow’s Pink Triangle. It is one of the bars that is known for its friendly and inclusive atmosphere, as well as karaoke. While Karaoke Tuesdays is very much a thing at The Underground Glasgow, guests can expect DJs in the evenings during the weekends, and even a game of bingo on Saturdays along with the usual karaoke.

3. Delmonica’s Bar
It wouldn’t be a LGBTQ+ friendly bars in Glasgow list without Delmonica’s. The bar has been around since 1991, providing a safe space for queer people to be themselves, dance and just have fun. Delmonica’s is also home to SUCK, a famous drag show ever Wednesday featuring resident queens as well as special guests. Visitors can also indulge in plenty of cocktails, such as the Pineapple and Basil Mojito or a Watermelon Margarita. Plus, there are also four kinds of pizzas guests can enjoy: the Chargrilled Mediterranean Veg pizza should hit the spot!

4. Speakeasy
Speakeasy on John Street is more of a chilled one for those not too keen on club nights or wanting to go somewhere for pre-drinks. It’s a place whereyou can grab a nice selection of food and drinks, like burgers, hot dogs, toasties, small plates or buttermilk chicken wings. Try the Dip & Flip burger with braised beef brisket, beef patty, smoked cheddar, pickle, lettuce, tomato and CR9 sauce all dipped in glorious gravy. Now that’s a cheat day meal!

5. Riding Room
Cabaret and cocktail lovers can enjoy the Riding Room that provides on-stage entertainment seven nights a week. With the golden age cabaret vibes and plenty of indulgent cocktails served around in the joint, guests can enjoy the show with gusto. With all the classics on the menu like Margaritas and Passionfruit Martinis, cocktail enthusiasts are also encouraged to opt for the Punch Kettles: the Solero Kettle, for example, comes with Absolut Vodka, Blend, citrus, pineapple and passionfruit.
