A brand new Italian spot owned by the people behind The Loveable Rogue, Oi Mamma, opened its doors in Bearsden on February 10.
The Milngavie Road project has replaced the beloved Raffaele’s Restaurant, which closed last month, and aims inspire that childlike excitement when you see your pizza coming. The new Oi Mamma restaurant, which opened on February 10, features a flamboyant design infused with friendly Italian hospitality while honoring the strong, extroverted, and passionate nature of the native temperament.
The eatery is Instagrammable yet affordable, reinventing Italian cuisine in Glasgow’s sought-after area of Bearsden with a vibrant space designed to impress guests. The owners aimed at creating a stylish Italian space, connecting with the younger neighbourhood customers. With a bold and glamorous décor, the celebratory space that reflects the fun cuisine, signature cocktails, and lively atmosphere of Oi Mamma.
Mixing classic Italian recipes with a modern Mediterranean twist, the menu will take centre stage at Oi Mamma and offer playful, generous and authentic food. Guests can expect dishes such as Sourdough flatbread, Whole Lemon Sole on the bone served with Brown Butter, Amalfi lemon and Tagliolini with Pecorino Basil, as well as Creamy Burrata. Every day, Oi Mamma’s kitchen will be making fresh pasta, and all pizza dough is proofed for 72 hours to maximize flavour and ensure a light and distinct crust.
