The Glasgow event is set to offer a fresh take on the traditional Oktoberfest.
Grab your steins and friends as the ultimate food and drink event is coming to Glasgow this autumn, organised by popular brewery Innis & Gunn in one of the city’s top street food venues it’s going to be a barrel of laughs, beer and more. Expected to offer a “fresh take” on the traditional Oktoberfest shenanigans, the brewers will be hosting a three-day event known as ‘Oktober Fresh’ to celebrate their finest fresh beer.
In partnership with Platform, beer fans will be able to celebrate across four sessions from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd October. Oktober Fresh will centre around Innis & Gunn’s Tank Lager, the freshest version of their multi-award-winning lager beer, which was named Scotland’s Best Lager at the most recent Scottish Beer Awards.
Attendees will be able to enjoy steins of Tank Lager which will be brewed specifically ahead of each session and delivered straight to Platform from the brewery. In addition to their Tank Lager, they will also be freshly brewing a special limited-edition beer available to enjoy exclusively at the event, alongside the rest of the Innis & Gunn range.
To get even more in the spirit, Platform will be fully decorated for the occasion and be transformed into a huge Bavarian beer hall with music and entertainment such as games and giveaways, as well as serving plenty of steins for you to sip on. To accompany all that beer, you can also tuck into currywurst and vegan bratwurst platters with all the trimmings under the venue’s iconic railway arches.
Tickets start from £12, which includes a one-pint stein of Innis & Gunn Tank Lager, and can be booked individually with the option to pre-order food. Choose from the likes currywurst with housemade curry ketchup or vegan bratwurst with housemade Scharfe sauce, both served in a brotchen roll along with sauerkraut and fries.
