One thing’s for sure – Glasgow’s very own Chef Nico Simeone, the founder of Six By Nico, has been brave and has taken exciting risks throughout his career, introducing unique concepts such as Somewhere By Nico and more. And it’s happening once again – a brand new concept is being introduced to the Byres Road site, replacing the existing Six By Nico restaurant.
Following a successful debut in Manchester this March, Lennox Glasgow cements a homecoming for the Chef for its tenth anniversary, opening its doors in May 2026. As a result, Six By Nico will be replaced by Lennox, undergoing a complete transformation.
The new concept strips things back to the basics, where good food is what matters the most, bringing things back to before the growth and expansion of the franchise.
The Byres Road location is set to embody a minimalistic aesthetic for a day-to-night venue, with steel, concrete and raw materials, complemented by low lighting. What is more, the kitchen will be a focal point of the space, bringing the art of cooking as a live theatre for guests to marvel at.
At Lennox, the menu boasts dishes we all know and love, reimagined based on “nostalgia, technique and indulgence”.
Nico Simeone said, “I am both excited and nervous to introduce Lennox to the Glasgow community. While Six by Nico on Byres Road has been one of our most successful sites, I’ve felt a growing pull to strip things back and reveal a more personal side of my cooking. It may be seen as a risk, but I truly believe in Lennox and in the food we’re creating. Bringing this concept home to Glasgow, where my journey began, makes it all the more meaningful.”
Lennox Glasgow is opening its doors in late May, 2026 and is located at 358 Byres Rd, Glasgow G12 8AW.
