Looking after your mind and soul is just as important as your physical health in order to live a balanced life. It’s always more fun to take one’s wellbeing seriously with good company, and the Southside Wellbeing Festival is bringing just that: a place for good vibes, workshops, yoga, mental health talks, arts and crafts and all that great stuff.
The Southside Wellbeing Festival is approaching its third year, taking place at various venues across Glasgow’s Southside between September 6 and 8, such as The Wee Retreat, Finn’s Place and The Pony Club at Pollok Country Park. This year, the festival features 40 events, with family-friendly activities for everyone to participate in. Most events are either free or pay-what-you-can, with some at a fixed price of £5 or £7.50.
Festival-goers can do yoga, go dancing, attend ukulele, mental health, gratitude, creative writing and pottery workshops, as well as a poetry competition. Who’s entering?
Those more adventurous can attend An Introduction To Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy on September 6, or a Shamanic Journeying Workshop on September 7. Those who enjoy walks can embark on an Autumn Herb Walk on September 8 at 10am, learning to identify edible and medicinal herbs and their healing properties.

And, of course, enjoy a sound bath, do yoga and pilates and meditate as much as you need in a myriad of different events available during the festival.
There will also be a free Sunday Wellbeing Fair promoting wellbeing activities, with practitioners and third-sector community organisations, also allowing visitors to take part in taster sessions.
You can find the full line-up of events and book by heading to the Southside Wellbeing Festival website.
